General Information and Specials

  1. Admission tickets are required Wednesday, 6 a.m. until Sunday, 3 p.m.
  2. Wednesday, July 29 is "Dollar Day"
  3. Admission tickets may be purchased at the Extension Office, Interstate Center lobby ticket booth, or any Fair gate.
  4. "Young at Heart" Day is Thursday, July 30. Seniors (60 and over) get in FREE all day!
  5. Wednesday, July 29 is Ag Day! McLean County Farm Bureau members and their families admitted to the Fair for FREE when they show their active Farm Bureau membership card.
  6. Wednesday and Thursday (July  29 and 30) receive a FREE FAIR admission to the McLean County Fair when 3 of the following items are presented for each ticket.
    • Box of crayons (#16 or #28),
    • Elmer’s glue,
    • washable markers (classic colors),
    • glue stick,
    • pair of scissors (pointed or rounded),
    • backpack
    • Pencils (#2 lead)
    • Loose leaf notebook
    • Spiral bound notebook (70 pg.)
    Items donated will be distributed in the form of FREE backpacks filled with school supplies to students with limited resources, who acquire all necessary immunizations and physicals, and show proof of school registration for the 2009-2010 school year.  Items donated will be distributed among participants at the Back to School Party on August 11, sponsored in part by McLean County Extension, State Farm Insurance, ISU’s Extended University, Country Companies, and many others.

Evening Grandstand Entertainment

  • Wed., July 29th: Tobin's Pizza Big Smoker's Tractor Pull - $6.00
    The tractor pull will feature 1800# Mini Rod, 9,500# Farm Stock, 6200# 2 WD Truck, 10,000# Pro Stock, NEW 8000# Pro Stock Diesel Trucks
  • Thur., July 30th: Antique Tractor Pulls and Local Pickup, Tractor Pull-offs - $1.00
    The tractor pull-off will feature NEW 5500# Antiques, NEW 5500# Classics, McLean County Pickup Truck Pull-Off's
  • Fri., July 31st : borderlineband - FREE Chuck Wicks Country Concert - FREE
  • Sat., Aug. 1 : Pepsi Nationwide Demolition Derby - $15.00

  • During the Royalty Conest on Wednesday night Farm Bureau will again recognize individuals for their outstanding contributions to the McLean County Fair and 4-H over the past decades.
